In June 2004, Rees & Celia found and a home under construction, near Sami, which they fell in love with. They were here on holiday here at that time but they paid a deposit and made a deal to buy it by the end of the year. Before returning to the UK they opened a bank account with Spyros and gave him power of attorney, to buy it, build it and act on their behalf in general. After a couple of months' time, Spyros received the money from Celia and Rees and bought the land with the house for them. Spyros undertook the whole project for the completion of the property with progress reports and pictures to Rees and Cecilia. The last work done on their house was the construction of a swimming pool and the landscaping of the garden. Rick and Liz fell in love with a land plot in Grizata which they authorized Spyros to buy and build for them in December 2004. Spyros has already introduced them an architect who produced the draft plans. Rick and Liz made the amendments the wished and the final plans of their new home will soon be submitted for the building permit. Spyros has received their building permit approved and has started the project since September 2005. Guy and Danielle own a beautiful house near Karavomilos which they have assigned to us to look after while they are away. We have insured their house with Ethniki and visit their property on a regular basis to ensure its good condition and we also arrange for the maintenance work of their garden. We also undertook crazy paving work all around their house and we also fit a barbeque. Recently, we made a bore at 45 meters and also a roof on their pergola.Please to see this project.
Mark and Kathleen found a great value for money opportunity land plot in Poulata from our website. After their enquiries we supplied them with more information and pictures regarding the plot.
Without actually seeing or even standing on the plot they decided to go ahead and buy this opportunity, from home. They gave power of attorney to Spyros to buy the property on their behalf, through the Greek Embassy in London, and it was done as simply as that. Spyros prepared all the paperwork for them and completed the purchase for Mark and Kathleen. On their visit to Kefalonia during summer 2005 we took them to see their new “piece of Kefalonia” and they were really happy as this was even nicer than what they expected.
Peter came to Kefalonia in August 2004 and rented a flat on a long term basis with the intention to eventually buy a property on Kefalonia. After a while we found for Peter the most ideal property in the sea front of Sami. This was a brand new maisonette apartment overlooking the port of Sami which Peter decided to buy right away. We assisted Peter on all the paperwork regarding the purchase from assigning an attorney and opening a bank account to the final contract. Peter is our neighbour now as he is staying in Sami on a full-time basis and he is also a very happy Kefalonian because he has also got a yacht recently which he can see from his veranda.
Garry and Elaine contacted us and informed us about their interest to buy property on Kefalonia. They asked us to inform them about properties they could consider before visiting Kefalonia in July 2005. At that time we had a very good deal for a detached house which they did not miss! After viewing the property they immediately decided to buy it and paid a deposit to secure the deal. They gave power of attorney to Spyros at the notary’s office in Sami to buy the property on their behalf after 3 weeks time. Spyros prepared all the paperwork for the sale and finally exchanged contracts for Garry and Elaine who are expected to come to Kefalonia and spend their first Christmas in December 2005. Their house is also insured on Ethniki.
Leo and Lea sailed to Sami in September 2005 because of a storm. This was their first visit on our island. There they met Peter (another success story of ours, please read above) who had his yacht nearby. Hearing from him how much we helped him getting a place here and seeing him so happy and settled with his property and his yacht they started considering to move out here too since they both no longer work.
Every day they spent on Kefalonia made them feel more like home. After viewing one of our twin featured villas with the panoramic views, which were still under construction, they felt right away that this was the ideal home for them to retire. Leo and Lea paid a deposit to secure the deal and also gave power of attorney to Spyros to complete the purchase. Because the villa was still under construction Leo and Lea were able to make some amendments to the original plans to meet their own needs.
Spyros will exchange the contracts with the vendor/developer and will also inform Leo and Lea about the progress of the project until completion in April 2006, the time which they will move to Kefalonia for good!

Ian and Sally have been friends and guests of ours at the Sami Beach Hotel for several years. They spoted on Doriza.com the sea front apartment in Agia Efimia the day it was added on our property portfolio and requested more information about it.
